Linda Vista Park Update: Good News!
The Linda Vista~Annandale Association wants you to know that improvements to Linda Vista Park are in the pipeline!
New Playground Equipment
In response to the City of Pasadena's call for suggestions for the next round of Capital Improvement Projects in City Parks, LVAA has submitted an Application/Suggestion for new Linda Vista Park playground equipment consistent with the new playground equipment installed, or being installed, in other City neighborhood parks.

The City's Capital Improvement Project (CIP) approval and budget process is complex, and project and budget reviews and approvals usually take significant time. There will be public meetings and hearings on the CIP Budget Park proposals, including LVAA's playground equipment proposal for Linda Vista Park. We will keep you advised on the review process, including when it will be helpful to support the proposal by attending public hearings and sending e-mails to City decision makers.
New Trees and Trimming
LVAA is pleased to announce that the City will plant six new native Sycamore trees in the Park by December of this year. One of the new Sycamores will be planted near the recently installed drinking fountain in order to shade the fountain and keep it, and its water, cooler. Two more Sycamores will be planted behind the bleacher to provide shade. Two old tree stumps in that area will be removed.
The three other Sycamores will be planted in the Upper Field area of the Park in order to provide more shade and make this area more comfortable and enjoyable for Park users.
Also, City staff has noticed that certain mature Park trees were "topped" and otherwise improperly and poorly maintained in the past. The Linda Vista Park is being added to the list of parks that will receive tree trimming this year, including corrective trimming.
Thank you Pasadena Public Works, including Parks and Natural Resources, staff!
