Neighborhood Picnic in Linda Vista Park
On Saturday, October 3, 2009, over 500 neighbors gathered at Linda VIsta Park for the inaugural Picnic in the Park, sponsored by the Linda Vista ~ Annandale Association and Pasadena City Councilmember, Steve Madison.
The day included displays from the Pasadena Police Department, Pasadena Water & Power, Habitat for Humanity, Art Center College of Design, and the Rose Bowl Stadium. Neighbors of all ages were treated to a fire engine demonstration by Pasadena Fire Station #38, and story time & musical performers from the Linda Vista Library. Neighbors were also invited to purchase lunch from the In-N-Out Burger® truck, or bring their own.
The neighborhood also welcomed the recently opened All Saints Children's Center. The Center combined their Open House with the picnic, inviting the community to tour its classrooms and facility.
