LVAA e-Alert (February 15, 2016)
City Decision on Non-Potable Water Project Through Linda Vista Nears;  On-Site Community Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2016

The Linda Vista-Annandale Association wants you to know the following, particularly if you live on, adjacent to, or near these Linda Vista streets:
  • Afton Street:  Between the end of Afton Street at the Afton Debris Basin and Linda Vista Avenue; then
  • Wellington Avenue:  Between two segments of Afton Street; then
  • Linda Vista Avenue:  Between Afton Street and Laurel Street; then
  • Laurel Street:  Between Linda Vista Avenue and Parkview Avenue; then
  • Parkview Avenue:  Between Laurel Street and Washington Boulevard.

The City is nearing a decision on the proposed Pasadena Non-Potable Water Project, which was first introduced to the Linda Vista-Annandale neighborhood at the LVAA 2013 Annual Meeting.  The City Council will hold a public hearing on certifying the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and approving all or some portion of the proposed Pasadena Non-Potable Water Project on Monday, February 22, 2016.  More information on the Council Hearing will be provided by LVAA shortly.

In the meantime, LVAA has helped to organize an on-site community meeting between impacted neighbors on the streets listed above, LVAA representatives, and City staff and officials (including Mayor Terry Tornek) to discuss and answer questions about the proposed Pipeline/Conduit route through Linda Vista, including potential impacts and alternatives.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at 5:00 p.m. at the corner of Laurel and Parkview.

Please plan on attending this on-site community meeting if you might be impacted or have concerns.  As to details on the Proposed Pasadena Non-Potable Water Project, including what is planned for Linda Vista’s streets and what LVAA is proposing, please access and review a LVAA's Memorandum of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) above.
