Changes to the Resident and Guest Pass System
The Rose Bowl Operating Company -- in conjunction with the Neighborhood Associations surrounding the Rose Bowl -- is working to improve the general traffic flow and parking in barricaded areas during Rose Bowl events. A significant part of these changes will be new Resident and Guest Passes to be issued on an annual basis. These passes will be valid for one year, beginning July 1 of this year through June 30 of the following year.
Annual Resident Passes
Beginning May 1, 2010, residents will receive four (4) NEW Annual Resident Passes through the mail. These passes will be mailed out only to those residents living on a street that is barricaded on major Rose Bowl Stadium event days. These passes are available for use between July 1, 2010, and June 30, 2011, ONLY and will allow residents to access their homes on major event days, including the 4th of July holiday. Four (4) NEW Annual Resident Passes will be mailed out each year.
Residents will need to display their new Annual Resident Pass on their vehicle when entering a barricaded street. For larger events that are held at the Rose Bowl Stadium, select streets will be closed to outside traffic; however, your Annual Resident Pass will allow you access to and from your home. Annual Resident Passes will not be valid for access through the Toll Plazas down within the Arroyo Park area or crossing through the Arroyo Park area on event days. The old Resident passes will no longer be valid beginning June 30, 2010.
Annual Guest Passes
Annual Guest Passes for the 4th of July holiday will be available at the Rose Bowl Stadium or your local Fire Station beginning May 2010, and will be issued similarly for each year. There is a limit of 10 passes per household. Residents will need to show identification and sign for the number of passes that they receive. The old 4th of July holiday guest passes will no longer be valid beginning June 30, 2010.
